Help - Real-Time Location App

1. Register an Account

To use this service, you first need to register an account. During the trial period, you can register with an email address, but to continue using the service after the trial, you need to register with your mobile phone number. If you have already registered, skip this step and log in directly.

  • Account: Your mobile phone number or email.
  • Password: 6-20 characters consisting of letters, numbers, or their combination, case-sensitive.
  • During registration, you will be prompted to enter your bound email address. This email can be used when recovering your password.

2. Set Your Own Location Update Interval in “Settings” Page

The system default is set to 5-minute intervals. You can adjust this value according to your actual needs.

After setting the location update, your location information will be uploaded to the app server at the time interval you set (due to differences in hardware and software configuration of each user's device, the time interval is for reference only). You are responsible for any data traffic fees and device costs.

A smaller location update interval will result in more detailed location trajectories and more timely real-time location information, but it will consume more battery power. A larger interval will have the opposite effect. You need to balance this based on your own needs and those of your contacts.

Due to network or device settings, the actual location sampling interval may not be exactly the value you set, but around it. Also, in cases of unstable network or phone sleep, the system may not be able to obtain your location at every set sampling moment.

3. Add the Contacts You Want to View

Active Addition:

On the “People” page, click the "+" icon in the upper right corner to pop up the selection interface. You can add contacts by entering the phone number of the person you want to add (or their email address during the trial period).

After the other party agrees to add you as a contact, the contact relationship between you and the other party is established.

Passive Addition:

In your phone's notification bar, you will receive an invitation from the other party. Check the message, and the system will prompt you whether to accept the invitation. Click "Accept" to establish the contact relationship; click "Reject" to decline.

4. Set the Location Sharing Permissions You Grant to Contacts

You can share your location information with people who have established contact relationships with you in this app. You have full control over the privacy level of your location sharing — who to share with, when to share, and with what accuracy.

On the "View" page → Select the contact you want to view → Set my location sharing permissions. You can set the location information sharing permissions you grant to that contact.

When a person becomes your contact, the default location accuracy you grant them is "Precise"; the default location sharing permission is "Always Visible".

For family members or close friends, you can set "Always Visible" and location accuracy to "Precise".

You can share location information with your contacts based on recurring time periods, or you can share your location with them once during a specific time interval.

5. Location Query Settings - Based on "Time Point" Query

You can perform "time point" location queries on yourself and selected contacts. The query results return the two locations of the selected object closest to that time point — the one just before and just after the specified time. On the "View" page, click the mode option in the top navigation bar and select "Time Point" location query in the pop-up options box.

In the pop-up "time point setting” page, select the time point you need to view. When you choose the custom moment option, the time point you enter for location query should be within the following range:

  • Start time: Your current moment minus the number of days of geographic location trajectory allowed by your package.
  • End time: Your current moment.

6. Location Query Settings - Based on "Time Period" Query

You can perform "time period" location queries on yourself and selected contacts. The query results return all locations of the selected object within that time period. On the "View" page, click the mode option in the top navigation bar and select "Time Period" location query in the pop-up options box.

In the pop-up "specified time period" page, select the time period you need to view, the span of the time period you enter for query should not exceed the number of days of your location trajectory records in your current package. The start and end times you enter for the time period location query should be within the following range:

  • Start time: Your current moment minus the number of days of geographic location trajectory allowed by your package.
  • End time: Your current moment.

7. Location Query

After setting the contacts you want to view and the time, you can click the "View" button on the "View" page to perform the query you selected. Your query results are limited by the location sharing settings of the queried party.

The valid time range for your initiated location query is jointly determined by your current package's geographic location trajectory days and that of the contact you want to view. Your current package determines the time range you can query, while the contact's package determines the location information they can provide; both must be satisfied to form your effective query time range.

If you need to view longer-term location points or trajectories of yourself or your contacts, you can expand your query permissions by subscribing to a package with more location trajectory recording days, while ensuring that your contact's package has sufficient location trajectory recording days so that the application server has recorded these data for them.

For "time point" location query, the system will try to find and return the two locations of your selected contact closest to the time point you specified, under the condition that the contact's sharing settings allow it.

For "time period" location query, the system will try to find and return all location data of your contact within the time range you specified, under the condition that the contact's sharing settings allow it. If too much location data is returned, the system will select and return part of it. The trajectory return status of your contact also depends on their package's location trajectory recording days and their sharing settings with you. The system will only look for the time intervals where they have location records and have opened sharing to you. The results of "time period" location query are limited by the query party's package's historical trajectory days per view, the queried party's location trajectory recording status, and their sharing settings with you.

If you need to know your contact's location information in a timely manner, your contact needs to set his location update time to a smaller time value, but this will increase his device's power consumption and data traffic.

Location accuracy is related to the phone's GPS chip, cell tower signal coverage, cell tower network planning, etc. Generally, when GPS signal has acquired location, the accuracy is 3-20 meters; cell tower positioning accuracy is 200-3000 meters; Wi-Fi positioning is within 100 meters.

If you are riding the subway, the positioning accuracy may deviate significantly or even fail to locate.

When you move from a strong GPS signal coverage area to a weak coverage area or blind spot, the system's acquired location at that moment may deviate significantly from your actual location, or even fail to acquire the location.

8. Messages

The message center will notify you of relevant information about friend requests, system reminders, and location fence triggers; you can also use this messaging service for daily communication between the two parties.

9. Notes

This app primarily uses GPS for location tracking; the accuracy of this location tracking is affected by phone signal strength and system permission settings. To ensure the app runs properly in the background, please refer to the application settings guidelines for your specific phone brand.

When the queried party has no GPS location data, this service supports the querying party initiating location tracking via various methods, including base stations and networks. In this case, the querying party will need to pay for each non-GPS location data returned. Base station and website location tracking may result in significant location deviations compared to GPS positioning, sometimes reaching 1km. Furthermore, this service does not guarantee that the maximum deviation will be 1km in such cases.

11. Usage Recommendations

Ensure the app can run in the background on your phone by adding it to the battery optimization whitelist and allowing background activity.

12. Security

We take your privacy very seriously. All data you upload to our servers is encrypted during transmission. Unless required by law, your location data can only be viewed by authorized contacts.

13. Other

To ensure that your location data can be stored for future queries by yourself or for access by others you have authorized, please make sure to turn on the GPS switch on your phone and grant this app permission to access precise location.
